After a very busy summer term we will be closing for the summer holidays on Friday 21st July at 3.00pm and re-opening on Tuesday September 5th at 8.40am. A whole school newsletter and a letter to parents for reference from the Headteacher is available on or website. 

GCSE Results Day is on Thursday 24th August and results will be available for students from 10.00am.

Resistant Materials

Resistant Materials Year 10 and 11

The Course is divided into two comulsory units of Study:

– Unit 1 Written Paper 40% (Includes the following)

Materials & Components, Design and Market influences, Social, cultural, moral, environmental, sustainability, economic issues, Consumer Choice, Consumer rights legislation, product maintenance, Health & Safety, Processes and Manufacture, Joining Techniques, Systems and Control, Information and communication technology and Industrial Practices.

– Unit 2 Design and Make Practice 60%

Controlled Assessment 45 Hours
